In Newcastle I lived on the beach at on end of the #100 bus route-the other end was where I wokred as a lecturer at the University.
Looking inevitably for a starting point, I tookup my twice weekly empty pear juice cans, carried them with me on the bus and began to solder them together.
This is the final work -
cans cast in bronze and patinated.

The others are some of those that emerged along the way and were shown at the 'Art Freeway' exhibition in 1991 at Jan Taylor Gallery in Glebe.
